"Although I had previously worked in HR and Compliance, I jumped at the chance of completing a level 5 CIPD and HR consultancy apprenticeship to further my knowledge whilst gaining on-the-job experience."

At first, I was apprehensive about returning to education however my line manager, learning coach and tutor ensured that I had the tools necessary to succeed and continuously encouraged and supported me throughout.

As I had begun the course at the start of the pandemic, I initially thought that completing the learning modules, assignments and apprenticeship standards was going to be a struggle. However, the structure of the programme and regular communication with my learning coach and line manager helped at times where juggling my workload and learning was intense!

I would highly recommend completing an apprenticeship- the guidance and support I’ve received at both Novuna and from the training provider, BC Arch, have been brilliant. Sometimes I believe that people think apprenticeships are only for school leavers- this is not the case! I’ve really benefitted from the programme despite my age and previous education.
