Harry Styles’ record-breaking 12-night Wembley Stadium residency is expected to generate a £420 million boost for London’s visitor economy, according to new analysis from Novuna Personal Finance.
The concerts are expected to attract over one million fans, making the residency one of the biggest live music events ever staged in the UK.
The analysis estimates that concertgoers will spend around £420 million directly with London businesses, including hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and transport providers, delivering a major boost to the capital’s hospitality, tourism and retail sectors.
On average, each concert is forecast to generate more than £35 million of visitor economy spending in London.

According to Novuna’s analysis, spending generated by the residency is expected to be spread across several key sectors:

Overall, the analysis suggests the average concertgoer will spend £389 directly with London businesses.
Hotels, restaurants, bars and retailers are expected to be among the biggest beneficiaries as hundreds of thousands of visitors travel into London for the shows.
A residency that rivals the UK’s biggest music tourism events
The scale of Harry Styles’ Wembley residency places it among the most significant music tourism events ever hosted in Britain.
With more than one million attendees expected across the 12 concerts, the residency is projected to generate levels of visitor spending comparable with the UK’s largest stadium tours and major cultural events.
The analysis suggests that around 70 per cent of attendees will travel into London from elsewhere in the UK or overseas, while more than 40 per cent are expected to stay overnight, driving significant demand for hotels, restaurants, attractions and transport services.
Unlike a traditional weekend event, the residency’s 12-show run means the economic benefits will be spread across several weeks, creating sustained demand for businesses across the capital.
Overnight visitors expected to drive spending
Fans staying overnight are forecast to contribute the largest share of visitor economy spending.
Accommodation alone is expected to account for more than £130 million, while spending on food, drink, shopping and leisure activities is projected to reach around £195 million.
The findings highlight the growing importance of music tourism as a driver of economic activity, particularly in major destination cities such as London.
Theresa Lindsay, Chief Marketing Officer at Novuna Personal Finance, said:
“Harry Styles is not just selling out Wembley — he is helping to fill London’s hotels, restaurants, bars and shops.
“More than a million fans are expected to head to the capital, turning a series of concerts into a major economic boost for London.
“At a time when hospitality and retail firms are battling higher costs and cautious consumers, this kind of live music event delivers exactly the sort of spending surge many businesses need.
“The real value is not just what happens inside Wembley. It is the money fans spend before and after the show — on hotel rooms, meals, drinks, travel and shopping across the capital.”
